Sichuan Electric Power Transmission and Transformation Construction Co., Ltd., SPTTC for short, was originally established in 1952. It was among the first electric power construction enterprises which were approved by then Chinese Ministry of Construction. After 65 years of development, it has the capabilities to carry out, on its own, survey, design, purchase, construction, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance and project management for power transmission lines, substations , hydraulic power plants ,solar power plants and wind power plants at home and abroad. 

While focusing on China’s power construction industry, SPTTC has also built bridges to international co-operation. In 2004, it went abroad, for the first time, to carry out the engineering, purchase and construction (EPC) of Angola’s Lubango urban power network project. It won high praise for project quality and speed from both the project owner and China’s Ministry of Commerce. Since then, it has taken part in more than 20 overseas transmission line and/or substation projects over a dozen countries including Nepal, India, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia, East Timor, Benin, Angola, Senegal, Kenya, Ethiopia, Cambodia, Cote d’ivoire,Uganda and Egypt. Kenya Power Distribution System Modernization and Strengthenging Project Phase II;

GIBE III-ADDIS ABABA Transmission Lines and Substations Project;

Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam 400kV Transmission Line Project;

Addis Ababa Light Rail Transit (AA-LRT) GIS and Transmission Line Project;

400kV Genale Dawa-III-Yirgalem-II-Wolayita Sodo-II (GDYW-2) Transmission Line Project in Ethiopia;

Soubré Hydraulic Power Plant Transmission Line Project; and

Côte d'Ivoire Power Grid Development and Rehabilitation Project.
